Description
On a fast track of just 19 weeks, inclusive of the significant design changes for electrification considerations, PIDC completed a 5,200 SF build for Bunker Hill Community College in their E2 building to create a new Café for students on campus. The project consisted of a 2,000 SF, fully equipped commercial kitchen with makeup air and walk-in freezers, and a 3,200 SF seating area with decorative wood ceilings and lighting fixtures. Matz Collaborative Architects, Inc.'s design featured over 2,000 sf of open seating for students, serpentine accent ceilings and custom millwork finishes for food pick up. PIDC oversaw the install of all-electric food service equipment as a commitment to the College’s efforts to reduce their environmental impacts.
