Description

PIDC was the owner’s project manager for the engineering, permitting and construction of two of the nation’s largest combined cycle landfill-gas-to-energy (LFGTE) plants. Located in California (37.5 MW) and Rhode Island (32 MW), the combined installation cost exceeded $250 million. These electric generation plants consist of solar combustion turbine generator sets, Rentech heat-recovery steam generators, and post-combustion emissions control systems. The steam produced is fed to a steam turbine generator set. The electricity generated is delivered to the local transmission system.
