PIDC was design-builder for this paper mill project, obtaining a significant National Grid rebate for H&V by meeting key performance milestones. The entire project was accomplished in 12 months from design, procurement, permitting and construction, through commissioning, startup and testing. It included installation of a 3.3MW solar gas turbine and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG), which combine to provide the majority of power needs and 100% of the steam load. The system is paralleled to National Grid with the ability to export electricity.
